Astral projection proves absolutely nothing about the existence of the soul. A manipulation spell is a manipulation, whether it manipulates dead flesh or unliving matter. The only “necromantic spells” are those that users and armchair magical experts choose to define as such. It is a loosely organized collection of spells, rituals, enchantments and theories having to do with spirits and the dead. In truth, necromancy is not a “school” of magic or even a branch of magical organization as many think. The Awakening has done nothing to end the debate on the nature of death and the existence of some kind of life-after-death existence.
